Held at Project Contemporary Artspace in Wollongong, today’s event opened with over 200 artworks created by people with allanilities adorning the walls. The central theme of this year’s exhibition was ‘Musical Icons that Inspire’.
With an emotionally charged performance by our ‘This is Me Choir’, and a surprise visit from not one, but two Elvis impersonators, the room was alive with excitement, pride and celebration. Special thanks to our Art Therapist Victoria Velozo, the Outsider Art team, and Alison Byrnes for officially opening the exhibition.
The exhibition is open until Saturday 27 July, with many of the artworks available for purchase. All profits go directly to the outsider artist program, recognising their work and valuing their creativity.
