Brewing Up A Storm
Coffee with a smile is what you get at Brewing Up A Storm. Operating in the SES State Headquarters, Brewing Up A Storm gives our employees the opportunity to learn hospitality, customer service and money-handling skills.
As well as great coffee, you will also find a delicious menu from popular local caterers, which includes gluten-free, vegan and dairy-free treats and, of course, fantastic service from our friendly team.
Brewing Up a Storm is open Monday to Friday from 7 am to 3 pm and has locations in Wollongong and Shell Cove. Our cafes are at:
- 93-99 Burelli Street, Wollongong
- 50 Harbour Boulevard, Shell Cove
- 41 Burelli Street, Wollongong
Packaging, Labelling & Shrink Wrapping
Do you have great attention to detail and enjoy a regular routine? Greenacres packs, labels and assembles a range of products, including cosmetics, fishing rods, beverages and cochlear implants for many leading international and national brands.
Commercial Sewing
Do you enjoy sewing? Greenacres offers meaningful employment under the supervision of skilled sewing machinists who will support your skill development in operating technical machinery. We manufacture body bags and wheat heat packs.
Labour Hire
Greenacres has a range of labour hire crews who work in many different industries, such as Scaffolding, cleaning, gardening and maintenance. It is a great opportunity that allows you to bridge the gap between supported and open employment.
E-waste
If you enjoy tinkering and taking things apart, E-Waste is perfect for you! Every day you can dismantle and recycle old electronics to help protect the environment.

Requirements of the role:
- You love serving customers
- You are keen to learn how to work safely and efficiently in a café environment.
- Ability to work in Shell Cove and Wollongong
- Literacy and Numeracy skills
- Good communication skills
- Certificate II in hospitality or relevant qualification
- Meet the impairment criteria for the Disability Support Pension (DSP)
- Be over 18 years olds
- Adequate funding to accommodate your required supports to undertake training and work experience
Training Opportunities
Certificate II in Hospitality
Greenacres has a wonderful opportunity for eligible* NDIS Participants to undertake a fully funded 12-month Certificate II Hospitality qualification, with a requirement to complete the practical training components of the course supported by on-the-job work experience at Greenacres Brewing Up A Storm cafes.
*Participants must have NDIS funding and meet the LLN course requirements. Must be able to attend every Friday for 12 months. You require adequate funding to accommodate your required supports to undertake training and work experience.
