Message from our CEO, 15 August 2021
As NSW continues to be impacted by increasingly higher numbers of positive COVID-19 cases due to the contagious Delta strain, the NSW Department of Health has extended the stay-at-home order for all of NSW including the Shoalhaven for at least the next seven (7) days (15 August 2021 to 22 August 2021). The stay-at-home order also extends the recommendation that all day programs should cease face-to-face group activities to reduce the risk of COVID spreading to people with disability, their families and our staff.
Services in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven are affected as follows:
CLL (Community Life and Leisure)All face-to-face group Day Programs to be temporarily suspended from Tuesday the 17th of August 2021 until the 22nd of August 2021, pending further advice from Public Health with the exception of:
- Existing one-to-one community supports
- Supports to participants at risk of harm – Please contact your coordinator
- Supports in the home – please contact your coordinator if you are interested in this option.
ASK (SLES and Skilled’n’Social) – All face-to-face group programs to be temporarily suspended from Tuesday the 17th of August 2021 until the 22nd of August 2021, pending further advice from Public Health with the exception of:
- SLES (Kickstart) online services
- Supports to participants at risk of harm – Please contact your coordinator
- Supports in the home – please contact your coordinator if you are interested in this option.
Temporarily ceasing our services is never something we do lightly as we know it places added pressure and challenges for many in our Greenacres family. If any ASK or CLL family is having difficulty in their caring role, please contact your coordinator to discuss whether special arrangements can be made for your family member.
Stay safe everyone and if you have any questions or concerns, please contact your service coordinator (CLL and ASK) or Greenacres Customer Service office on 4222 6200 / email customerservice@greenacres.net.au.
