Do You Need a Smart Device?

Online learning and support is a great alternative to face-to-face support while we are in lockdown but it does depend on participants having suitable assistive technology. The good news is that for the next five months, eligible NDIS participants will be able to flexibly use their plan funding to purchase low-cost assistive technology including smart devices like a tablet or iPad.

This means if you do not have enough funds in your core budget, you can use your capacity building budget to purchase one.

Our NDIS Administration Coordinator Jonathan Benuik can assist you if you have any questions about accessing your NDIS funding to purchase a device or if the NDIS requires a supporting letter outlining why you need the assistive technology.
